A new in-car system featuring smartphone integration will be making its debut in select Honda models for the 2015 model year. An innovative in-car technology, the system gives drivers and passengers the ability to access a variety of smartphone apps and features using the car's dash display. Honda's seamless integration of the smartphone’s abilities into the car will make it easier for drivers to utilize their phone's functions, eliminating distractions and enhancing the driving experience.

Drivers with  Honda models equipped with the system will be able to use the feature by connecting their phone via the car's USB port. Familiar smartphone icons will appear on the display screen and users will be able to utilize each of the apps with either the touch of a button or voice activation. Google Maps, messaging, Pandora, Google Play, iHeartRadio, Spotify and Songza are just a few of the apps compatible with the new technology. The system's inclusion in upcoming Honda models will take in-car technology to new heights and expand its capabilities, benefiting the auto industry and setting the groundwork for greater in-car infotainment technologies in the future.

Honda has not yet announced which 2015 models will be receiving the new system, but when they arrive you can take one for a test drive at Bell Honda.
