The 2014 Honda Civic Si is finally arriving on the automotive scene and it's got a few new tricks up its sleeve that loyal fans are guaranteed to be impressed with. A completely restyled coupe model is the first to hit the market and it will be followed shortly by the 2014 Civic Si sedan. Each car features a set of new upgrades, including a revised interior, all-new amenities, a re-tuned suspension and an updated engine, giving them the extra oomph they needed to set them apart from contenders in the compact car segment.
Sitting on 18-inch alloy wheels, the 2014 Civic Si Coupe sports an new aggressive look, which is accentuated by an Si-exclusive grille, a large spoiler and rear air diffuser. Inside, a black and red color pattern further carries out the athletic theme and a redesigned audio panel complements the arrangement. A collection of high-tech amenities are also available inside the car, which are included in the Civic Si Sedan as well. A seven-inch touchscreen display with navigation, HondaLink, a phonebook and audio is the first of these features. It is also joined by push-button start and Honda Lane Watch, providing additional functionality.
On top of the Si's interior upgrades, both models of the car are fitted with a 2.4L engine, which is paired with a six-speed manual transmission. An updated exhaust system allows both cars to deliver an extra four horsepower and 4-lb-ft. of torque, and a retuned suspension with new dampers, higher rate springs and a revised rear stabilizer bar increase the Si's overall performance.
