
The 2016 Honda Pilot is on its way and it's packing a wide range of features and upgraded components that longtime fans will find appealing. Now in its third generation, the popular SUV has been completely redesigned, showcasing sleek styling, an array of sophisticated technologies and a fresh V6 engine complete with direct injection. With eight-passenger seating, the Pilot is also one of the more spacious three-row SUVs to arrive on the market for the 2016 model year and a top choice for drivers everywhere.
Honda's engineers went to great lengths to make the 2016 Honda Pilot stronger, more efficient and innovative than it's ever been. Coming into the model year, it receives a direct-injected 3.5L V6, producing 280 horsepower and 262 lb.-ft. of torque, along with two fresh transmission options: a six-speed automatic and nine-speed automatic. The Pilot also features improved aerodynamics and has shed several pounds, which has increased its EPA ratings by 2 mpg across the board. To top things off, the SUV gains a new intelligent variable management AWD system that helps to improve steering and all-weather handling.
Safety and technology are also two areas the 2016 Honda Pilot excels in. The third-generation model has been equipped with a variety of new features that benefit drivers and enhance the driving experience. A multitude of safety functions, including LaneWatch, Blind Spot Indicator, a rearview camera, Honda Sensing and an Intelligent Traction Management System, have found their way onto the 2016 model. Push button start, smart entry, a Blu-ray DVD system, remote engine start and an eight-inch touchscreen display have also been integrated into the vehicle.
