2017 Rideline Truck of the Year Award

The 2017 Honda Ridgeline has won one of the most prestigious automotive awards in the U.S.: the 2017 North American Truck of the Year [1].

This is the second time that the Ridgeline has won this award, cementing its status as one of the leading trucks on the market.

Winners of the 2017 North American Car & Truck of the Year are chosen by over 50 members of the North American media who specialize in the automotive industry. These experts take a look at multiple aspects of the nominated cars, including their handling, value, safety, design, technological innovation and overall driver satisfaction.

For its latest model year, the 2017 Ridgeline received a full redesign that included a host of terrific features, such as unibody construction, a scratch-and-dent-resistant composite truck bed, a dual-action tailgate and in-bed trunk.

On top of that, the truck has also earned a 2017 Top Safety Pick+ rating [2] from the IIHS, thanks to its LED headlights and available front crash prevention system.

"This award is a prized validation of the innovations and advantages the Ridgeline offers midsize pickup truck customers and a great recognition of the American development team's work," said John Mendel, Executive Vice President of American Honda Motor Co., Inc. "This is a terrific way to kick off 2017, and we're looking forward to sharing more innovative Honda products in the year ahead."
