2023 Honda Civic vs 2023 Honda Accord
The 2023 Honda Civic is set to be one of the most desirable compact sedans in the world, while the 2023 Honda Accord sticks to its mid-size sporty sedan roots. Each are a different size sedan, and that matters to many customers. Which class is suitable for you this year? For many people, it comes down to the features of each model.
Performance
Both models are loaded up on engine choices, but the Accord doubles the number of the Civic's choices. A Civic Sedan starts with a 2.0L 158 horsepower engine, and its most powerful engine is a 180 horsepower turbocharged option. The Accord's four engine choices give it a horsepower range of 192 HP to 204 HP with its hybrid powertrain. The Civic's CVT transmission includes paddle shifters on higher trims like the Touring. Honda's Accord boasts an electronic e-CVT transmission on its Sport-L hybrid and throws in deceleration selectors on top of that basic design.
Appearance
Size isn't the only difference between the Civic and Accord. Honda's Civic is known for its compact size and attention to practicality. The base model Sport Civic features 18-inch gloss black alloy wheels, and its Touring features 18-inch alloy wheels and full LED headlamps with LED fog lamps. Hybrid versions of the 2023 Honda Accord add on 19-inch alloy wheels and heated side mirrors. Sportiness is an important part of both designs, but the Civic's smaller frame is distinct from the Accord and takes on a shorter appearance.
Features
Honda's Civic has sweet trims to choose from: LX, Sport, EX, and Touring. Honda's Civic also comes in three hatchback trims: Sport Hatchback, EX-L Hatchback, and Sport Touring Hatchback. The Accord comes in the LX and EX, with four hybrid models: Sport, EX-L, Sport-L, and Touring. Trims like the Accord Sport Hybrid have a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system and an 8-speaker 180-watt audio platform. The Civic Touring also features a nice audio system: a 12-speaker Bose premium system with a subwoofer. Honda's generous number of leather-trimmed interiors and classy color choices make either of these models a wonderful choice, depending on the class of sedan you want this year.
