Get to Know the Accord Family
Midsize sedans customarily incorporate a comfortable cabin with a neatly separated storage compartment for merchandise. The 2019 Honda Accord and Accord Hybrid certainly do this, but it doesn't stop there. Under the hood, they successfully unite efficiency and power, and inside the cabin, they include features found in luxury sedans. Just check this out to see how Honda does it.

Trims and Features
Yes, Honda labels the 2019 Accord a midsize sedan even though its cavernous interior includes up to 39.5 inches of headroom and 42.3 inches of legroom up front with 37.2 inches of headroom and 40.4 inches of legroom in back. The inclusion of a moonroof slices just over a couple inches from front headroom. These dimensions apply to all Accord editions, LX, Hybrid, Sport, EX, EX-L, and Touring, along with a standard 16.7 cubic feet of trunk volume. The EX, EX-L, and Touring models also come in hybrid versions. Accompanying this room on the LX and Hybrid editions are offerings like power windows and locks, twin-zone climate control, a 7-inch touchscreen, Bluetooth linkage, 4 speakers powered by 160 watts and enhanced with active noise reduction, two 12-volt outlets, and a USB port. The Sport edition expands to an 8-inch touchscreen, four more speakers utilizing 20 more watts, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration, and an automated 12-position driver's seat. The EX model warms the front seats, adds another USB port, and puts HD and Sirius XM radio in the audio choices. Finally, the L in EX-L stands for leather trim, but a 10-speaker 450-watt sound system with a subwoofer and a 4-position powered front passenger seat also come with this selection.
Horsepower
Honda decided to make all its 2019 Accord selections easy at the pump by starting with a 1.5-liter turbocharged straight-4 that teams with a continuously variable transmission or CVT to attain 192 horsepower yet provide 30 mpg city and 38 mpg highway. For even more muscle, the 2-liter turbocharged inline-4 pushes the Accord along at 252 horses while giving 23 mpg city and 34 mpg highway in leagues with a smooth 10-speed automatic transmission. Both machines have the option of a 6-speed manual transmission that lets the driver choose the best gear ratios, but it does pull efficiency down slightly to 26 mpg city and 35 mpg highway for the 1.5-liter and 22 mpg city and 32 mpg highway for the 2-liter. You might think in-between strength of 212 horses would come with in-between mileage, but the third choice, the 2019 Accord hybrid, works magic by outputting this much energy at 48 mpg in town and out on the open road.
Safety
Buyers can enjoy stability and traction control, a rearview camera, airbags, and antilock brakes. There's also a generous helping of smart features for greater protection. All Accord models come with Honda Sensing that includes front impact detection and alert capable of also activating the brakes when necessary. It can observe the vehicle leaving its lane and re-center it as needed. Honda Sensing also gets a little smarter than the competition by including the ability to recognize traffic signs and notify the driver of pertinent information.
The 2019 Honda Accord is a vehicle you must see in person, so we invite you to come into our Phoenix dealership and take a test drive.
