What's New For the 2022 Honda Civic?
The Honda Civic has been a popular nameplate since the early 1970s, with many iterations since then. For 2022, the Honda Civic undergoes a significant redo. The body features a new design with an upgraded interior. More optimal performance features have been added, and you can choose between the sedan model and the hatchback version. Many of the same features exist as previous model years, but Honda decided it was time to revamp this tried and true automobile.
2022 Honda Civic Trims & Features
There are four different trim levels available for the 2022 Honda Civic. This includes the LX, Sport, EX, and Touring. Honda hasn't solidified any significant trim changes to features and options from the 2021 model. The Sport has traditionally provided the most features for the most affordable price point.
2022 Honda Civic Horsepower
Your base model 2022 Honda Civic comes with a 2.0-liter, four-cylinder engine that provides 158 horsepower. You can upgrade your engine to the 1.5-liter, four-cylinder turbocharged option that delivers 180 horsepower. There is no option for an all-wheel drive variety, and the manual transmission option has been removed for the 2022 model year. A continuously variable transmission will be the standard inclusion.
2022 Honda Civic Safety
Honda is always excellent about including standard safety features in their vehicles, even at the base model level. The latest version of the Civic will include features like automatic emergency braking, pedestrian detection, and adaptive cruise control. Lane-keep assist will even be included to help you stay in your lane as you're driving.
