Honda has made the decision to discontinue Civic Hybrid and Civic Natural Gas models at the end of 2015. The automaker has chosen to go in this direction in order to redirect their focus on the development of the all-new 10th generation Civic, debuting later this year, and its more athletic new driving characteristics.
As buyers' demands continue to change, Honda is making necessary adjustments to their lineup. With the Civic Hybrid and Natural Gas models out of the picture for 2016, the all-new Civic model is set to feature Si and Type R versions. Buyers interested in purchasing a Type-R Civic will have to wait until 2017 to get their hands on one, while Si models will debut earlier. When it arrives in late 2015, the 10th-gen Civic model will offer a brand-new turbo inline four-cylinder engine, a continuously variable transmission and a six-speed manual transmission. Although sportier than the ninth-generation model, the 2016 Civic is also still expected to deliver exceptional fuel economy across its model lineup.
The current 2015 Honda Civic produces first-class EPA ratings and is available now at Bell Honda. Come take it for a test drive before the all-new 2016 Civic makes its debut and see why it's considered one of Honda's top vehicles.
