Honda is a company that’s known for creating a lot of great products related to the automotive world, but did you know that they've also developed their very own robot? Known as ASIMO, the robot was introduced to the world 15 years ago and has become somewhat of a celebrity over the years. Just recently, Honda made updates to ASIMO and brought it out at the 2015 SAE World Congress in Detroit to show off its new abilities.

Jumping, running, communicating, dancing and walking up flights of stairs are just a few of the capabilities ASIMO has. The robot performed each of these tasks at the 2015 SAE World Congress in front of a group of spectators, putting on a lively performance. Honda’s goal at the event was to show attendees how robots like ASIMO can be configured to carry out specific functions that could make them great in-home assistants. Additional capabilities, such as performing sign language and being bilingual, are also excellent qualities ASIMO possesses that could benefit humans.

Watch the video below to see ASIMO show off his skills at the 2015 SAE World Congress. To see ASIMO's skills in person, you can also visit Disneyland, where the robot has been an attraction since 2005.
