What's New for the 2022 Honda Passport?
The Passport returns for 2022 with an even more rugged look. A new grille and a power bulge hood help take the SUV's curb appeal to the next level. On the rear, larger twin exhaust outlets add an aggressive touch. Honda has also welcomed a new TrailSport trim into the lineup, which boasts enhanced off-road capabilities.
2022 Passport Trims & Features
Honda offers the new Passport in three trim levels: EX-L, TrailSport, and Elite. Even the entry-level EX-L trim has a leather-appointed cabin. Premium amenities, such as heated front seats and tri-zone automatic climate control, help passengers to experience a relaxing ride. Meanwhile, Honda's easy-to-use Display Audio infotainment system features an 8.0-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay/Android Auto smartphone integration. Other highlights include a one-touch power sunroof, a 215-watt stereo system, and a wireless phone charger.
The Passport TrailSport is the newest trim to hit the lineup. A wider track and rugged-style tires help you explore the rough backcountry confidently. Orange contrast stitching gives the cabin a special feel. When traveling, you'll appreciate Honda's satellite-linked navigation system.
Atop the range is the upscale Elite trim. It adds ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, and a heated steering wheel. Honda equips the Passport Elite with a 10-speaker premium audio system to give music fans a more powerful sound. A hands-free power liftgate and a Wi-Fi hotspot make the Elite trim mote rewarding.

2022 Honda Passport Horsepower
Every new Passport is motivated by a powerful, 3.5-liter V6 engine. Honda rates it to press out 280 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque. A nine-speed automatic transmission promotes a seamless performance. Not only does the Passport offer lively acceleration, but it can also tow up to 5,000 pounds. While Honda's torque-vectoring AWD system is optional on the EX-L trim, it's standard on the higher trim levels. AWD-equipped models also add an upgraded Intelligent Traction Management system with Mud and Sand modes.
Honda Passport Safety
The 2022 Honda Passport scored an exceptional, five-star overall safety rating from the NHTSA. You will have access to several great safety features. A multi-angle rearview camera gives you more security when backing up. Standard Honda Sensing also equips the SUV with some great accident-avoidance technologies, including Collision Mitigation Braking and Adaptive Cruise Control.
