What's New for the 2024 Honda Civic?

The already efficient and fun Honda Civic gets even more exciting in 2024 with the introduction of a hybrid powertrain. The 2024 Civic is available in both hatchback and sedan styles.

What Are the 2024 Civic Trims & Features?

First on the 2024 Civic trim levels list is the LX, which is available as either a hatchback or sedan. It gives drivers automatic climate control, LED headlights, a 7-inch touchscreen, and more. Next up is the Sport, which is also available in both body styles. It adds a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, plus an eight-speaker sound system.

The next option for the sedan is the EX, and the hatchback comes in a very similar EX-L. Both options add a sunroof and heated front seats. Drivers can also choose the Touring sedan or the Sport Touring hatchback, which will give them leather upholstery, a power-adjustable driver's seat, rear USB ports, and much more. The Civic Si is a performance-oriented sedan, while the Civic Type R is a hatchback with heart-pounding driving dynamics.

How Much Horsepower Does the 2024 Civic Have?

The standard powertrain for the 2024 Civic consists of a 2.0L four-cylinder engine and a continuously variable transmission. This provides up to 158 horsepower and 138 lb-ft of torque. For the hatchback Sport trim, a six-speed manual transmission is also available. Beginning with the EX and EX-L models, Honda goes with a turbo 1.5L four-cylinder that pumps out 180 horsepower and 177 lb-ft of torque.

The sedan gets a more powerful turbo 1.5L for the Civic Si, generating 200 horsepower and 192 lb-ft of torque. This is paired exclusively with a six-speed manual transmission. The top Civic Type R produces 315 horsepower and 310 lb-ft of torque with its turbo 2.0L, which works with a six-speed manual.
