2024 Honda CR-V LX vs 2024 Honda CR-V EX-L
A lot of factors can explain the CR-V's popularity. It has a classic SUV design that people never seem to get bored with. Honda is great at timely upgrades and extra attention to detail on things that matter most to families. In 2024, they're adding a new trim level to the lineup, and that's something to look forward to for many customers. However, we will be comparing the LX and the EX-L trim.
Performance
The LX and EX-L have the same powertrain: a 190-horsepower turbocharged powertrain that's efficient and responsive. Each one also gets a continuously variable transmission for extra smooth shifts. Starting the CR-V gets easier if you own an EX-L trim, though. Its remote engine start, with climate control, makes extreme weather a lot easier to combat.
Appearance
The LX trim is the most modest of CR-V trims, but many buyers prefer it that way. You get an SUV that looks great and doesn't show off too much. An LX CR-V comes with body-colored power side mirrors, LED headlamps, and body-color door handles. If you prefer extras with your exterior, the EX-L trim adds more than a few to the CR-V's base model exterior. It has a power tailgate with a programmable height, rear privacy glass, and a one-touch power moonroof with tilt.
Features
The base model CR-V LX comes with manual seat adjustment, a nice 160-watt audio system, and a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system. The LX is an incredible bargain for people who prefer a simple commute with just the basics and a few extras. However, many of our customers will want to check out the EX-L's features before deciding on the base model. An EX-L trim adds a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, 320-watt audio system, and leather-trimmed seats to the CR-V. These features are substantial to many buyers who demand greater utility from their SUVs. One thing that's the same across the board for 2024 CR-V trims is the safety lineup. The LX and EX-L come with many Honda Sensing driver-assist features, including traffic jam assist, collision mitigation braking, and lane departure warning. The EX-L adds front and rear parking sensors and a blind spot information system.
