Recently, Honda Motor Company Ltd. announced it would discontinue the Insight hybrid sedan production in the United States at the end of this year. However, the company also confirmed that a new hybrid version of the Civic sedan in the U.S. market would start in 2020. A new hybrid version of the CR-V sport utility vehicle starting in 2023.

Voted the Green Car of the Year by the Green Car Journal in 2019, the Honda Insight takes a leading position in the hybrid sedan market. This full-size sedan offers amazing gas mileage without compromising on other important categories, such as comfort, safety and electronics.

The new 2019 Honda Insight will be offered in the LX trim level, the EX trim level, and the Touring trim level. This new Honda sedan offers class-leading power and class-leading space to consumers interested in the compact hybrid market. The unique two-motor hybrid drive-train design allows the Insight sedans to operate without the need for a traditional automatic transmission.

By any measure, the Honda Insight has been very successful. Since its introduction in 1999, it has been one of the better-selling hybrids in the market, and its first two generations of production received awards and acclaim for industry experts such as the American Automotive Association, Kelley Blue Book, and the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. The Insight hybrid is making a comeback with its 2019 edition: renewed, revived, and rejuvenated.
